Mining for Gold: Unearthing the Potential of Your Supervisees and Avoiding the Pitfalls Along the Way
3 CEU’s for Supervision – Counselors and Social Workers (provider #RCS040502)
When was the last time you evaluated your clinical supervisory skills? We usually don’t do it enough. The goal of this training is to help understand effective clinical supervision
with today’s professionals in a world of changing workforce. Participants are encouraged to review what they are doing that works, and find ways to improve client care and clini-
cian growth. Developmental model of supervision, evidence of goal setting and incentive structures, and ways to improve client outcomes are reviewed.
Participants will be able to:
1. Learn strategies for effective clinical supervision, including developmental models, feedback styles, and understanding members of your team.
2. List ways in which clinical and administrative goals can be met more effectively, including understanding motivation and incentives.
3. Examine ways in which client care can be improved through your work with clinical staff through observation, feedback tools, and rating scales.
