Fire Safety Inspectors (FSI) are responsible for inspecting buildings and occupancies for fire code compliance. FSI inspectors prepare firefighters for understanding and interpreting the codes to successfully certify as an ODPS/NFPA Fire Safety Inspector. Students are responsible for bringing copies of the 2017 Ohio Fire Code and Ohio Building Code. All ODPS certification exams are held following the successful completion of the class.
