AN EXCITING AND FLEXIBLE CAREER USING TOUCH FOR THERAPEUTIC BENEFIT!  This part-time program provides a variety of massage therapy skills, business practices, and relevant medical information for students to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in Ohio.  These highly trained individuals use touch to provide massage therapy for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.

Each section listed must be passed with a 78% or higher to continue in the program:  CPR, Medical Terminology, Advanced Anatomy and Physiology, and Massage Theory with therapeutic massage techniques.

The program also includes the ethical responsibilities, business strategies, and accounting principles associated with a successful career and being a business owner. Upon completion of the program, the graduate has three months to take the MBLEx exam, which is required for licensure in Ohio.

Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics: Massage Therapy is growing at a rapid rate of 32% faster than other careers. Multiple career opportunities include working as a private practitioner, in a hospital, medical or chiropractor’s office, at a sports venue, or with the spa and resort industry.

Beginning Fall 2026, the following programs will be located at a new instructional service center during the construction of new facilities on EHOVE Career Center’s campus: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Esthetician, LPN to RN Diploma Program, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy, Phlebotomy Technician, and Practical Nursing. The address of the new location is EHOVE Adult Career Center at BGSU Firelands, 1 University Drive, Huron, OH 44839.
